I am a software developer with 6 years of experience with both Front-End and Back-End code. I have worked on the full-stack of numerous projects - creating intuitive UIs, writing REST APIs, and modifying how data is stored and accessed. I have tackled issues affecting live production code; quickly diagnosed show-stopping bugs; and kept my test-coverage high with every new feature. Despite working as a Full-Stack developer for most of my career, I much prefer Front-End work, with React.js being my preferred framework. I am proficient using both React contexts and state managers (such as Redux and Zustand) as well as testing frameworks like Jest. I am comfortable implementing reusable components from open-source libraries, as well as diving into the HTML and CSS to create my own components from scratch. I have worked on UI that suits desktop and mobile devices, changing dynamically depending on the screen-width. I follow Agile processes in all my code in order to work effectively and to a high standard - minimising repeated code and prioritising readability first-and-foremost. I am looking for opportunities to grow, challenges to prove myself, and chances to collaborate with other like-minded developers.
