Computer Science at University of Surrey
I’m an MSc Data Science graduate from the University of Surrey with experience building Python and SQL pipelines for regulatory data, Power BI reporting, and deployed NLP models. My projects include CyNER 2.0, a cybersecurity named entity recognition system, and Prompt Enhancer, a Chrome extension powered by on-device AI. I enjoy turning messy data and research ideas into working tools.
Built a personal data pipeline that streams weather sensor data through AWS Kinesis, processes it in batches using AWS EMR, and stores the results in Amazon S3. Used Python to connect ingestion, processing and storage into one working workflow.
Designed and shipped a Chrome extension that uses Google Gemini Nano to improve written prompts through on-device inference. Built the tool independently, taking it from an initial idea to a released extension. Skills include prompt engineering, LLM integration and product development.
Developed a cybersecurity named entity recognition system for my MSc dissertation, achieving an F1 score of 91.88%. Compared five NLP model architectures and used statistical testing to assess performance. Deployed the system as a FastAPI service on AWS using Docker and CI/CD.
