Madison Townsend

Madison primarily lives in Oxford with strong connections to Norwich and London. She is of Persian descent, has an affinity for cats, and is currently reading Dante's Inferno (again). She studied acting initially and now studies a Scriptwriting MA at the University of East Anglia. She is fascinated by classic literature and by Shakespeare in particular and uses various literature to inspire her own work. Having spent her working life as a barista, she has come across all sorts of characters and frequently uses these encounters to develop those in her writing. She has a penchant for comedic sketches with dark undertones, but she writes for all mediums and genres; Madison is currently working on a feature-length film script and recently had her short comedy stage play 'The Will to Die' produced for INK Festival.
