Business & Economics at University of Sussex
I’m Liam Jeffery, the founder of Vaultt & StudentVenture. My mission is to bring as much opportunity as possible to early talent by bridging the gap between industry and young people. Too many students aren’t getting opportunities, and too often they’re judged on past experience rather than their true potential. We built StudentVenture to change that - by making opportunity more accessible, eliminating bias, reducing hiring friction, and enabling employers to discover talent for who they are, not just what’s on a CV.
The CV is the most trusted document in hiring, and one of the most useless. It tells you where someone's been, not what they can do. Employers filter by keywords, university names and years of experience, then still make expensive bad hires. Brilliant people get screened out before anyone sees…
I made this event to support the next generation of talent.
Hosted an afterparty for a network called Not Boring Founders. This was after the UNiDAYS accelerator finale at Revolut HQ.

Graduated from the University of Sussex with an economics degree

I was invited to talk on the FREE Brands podcast on how to close the gap between insurance and industry.
While at university, I helped scale a small start-up called ScrubClub, a mobile car washing service in Brighton. I supported client acquisition and social media, helping the business grow to over 40 clients in just a few months. I even rode a bike for miles a couple times a week around the city to…
I also launched VNM Kicks at College, a bespoke trainer company, where I splattered paint onto trainers. Here I learned about creating value, building websites, and running social media. This was an invaluable experience in entrepreneurship and product development.
In college, I ran a clothing business called Prod1gy, which started with me printing and ironing my own t-shirt designs. I then had a manufacturer who I used once I had traction to create the t-shirts. I designed everything on Photoshop, organized photoshoots with friends modeling the clothes, and…
At university I created a marketing agency and supported a number of insurance companies in building blogs, lead magnets, and LinkedIn posts. Here is an example.
