I am a resident psychiatrist committed to improving mental health care in a low-income country, where mental health is often overlooked despite being vital to overall well-being and community strength. My work is driven by a passion for serving marginalized populations and a deep belief in the transformative power of empathy and care. Through my clinical experience, I have encountered a wide range of mental health challenges, refining my skills in patient care and sparking a strong research interest aimed at bridging gaps in mental health services. I am currently involved with the Garderenes Initiative, where we empower children and adolescents to prioritize their mental well-being. By fostering leadership, resilience, and community, we equip young people with the tools to advocate for themselves and others, promoting compassion and mental wellness for future generations. Alongside my clinical and advocacy work, I am pursuing an MBA to combine my medical expertise with strategic leadership. My vision is to collaborate with organizations like Life Church to transform mental health care through faith-driven initiatives and improve access to resources for vulnerable populations. Let’s connect to explore opportunities for collaboration in advancing mental health care and advocating for stronger, healthier communities. Together, we can create a future where mental health is prioritized, and everyone has the support they need to thrive.
