Abir Ahmed

Business & Economics at University of Greenwich

I am currently pursuing an MSc in Business Analytics at the University of Greenwich, where I am deepening my expertise at the intersection of data and decision-making. My studies focus on data mining, predictive modelling, machine learning, and data visualisation, allowing me to transform complex datasets into actionable business strategies. My primary interest lies in how organisations can harness data to navigate uncertainty and drive innovation—a passion sparked while witnessing how institutions like CQUniversity had to rapidly reengineer their operations during the pandemic. I am fascinated by the role of the analyst not just as a technician, but as a strategic partner who can guide leadership through change. Through my coursework, I am building a robust toolkit of technical skills, including statistical analysis and programming for predictive analytics. Alongside this, I am building the critical ability to communicate complex findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders, ensuring that insights lead to impact. Looking ahead, my ambition is to work as a business analyst or consultant, helping organisations become more agile and resilient. I aim to bridge the gap between raw data and human decision-making, contributing to sustainable, evidence-based growth in a rapidly evolving business landscape.
